I post photos of libraries, bookstores, writers' offices and so on because I believe that being a writer is being an artist and as much as any other art it is a life's dedication to the practice of that art. I am a writer not because it's a convenient career, but because it is a life and life's pursuit I chose to lead.
That said, I don't walk around trying to emulate other writers or put on a pretense or be a hipster doofus about it. But I do see my life within the context of art and writing. I want to live the life of a writer. What that is, is defined by me.
At any rate. I thought I would post a slideshow of the studios of artists. I think what I'm getting at with this is the notion that art and place share a connection. If learning the intricacies of dialogue can help someone be a better writer then perhaps gaining a bit of inspiration from the places where others create can help too.
